Hey Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, do you know someone 18 and under interested in goats?
First Fruits Registered Oberhasli Kid Drawing!
If you are 18 or UNDER you are welcome to enter our first fruits drawing (parents can enter kids as well). This is how it works: The first kid born on our farm for the year is the drawing kid. The kid will be registered with ADGA/IDGR*. To enter the drawing, please submit your NAME, AGE, PURPOSE (ie: pet, 4H, show, etc..) and BEST WAY OF CONTACT (ie: phone #, E-mail, FB, etc..) via E-mail or Phone (both contact info is on our contact page). If you are under 18 you MUST have a parent/guardians permission to enter. Please note: we do not de-horn/dis-bud our kids, if desired, that procedure is up to the winner of the kid. There is the possibility of a polled (genetically hornless) kid being born as well. Transportation is up to the winner. These goats come from a CAE/CL free farm and we keep a closed herd. Entries for the drawing closes when the first doe goes into labor. Drawing is to be held when the first kid is born. Both Gilly and Brigitta are due February 21st 2015. Gilly and Brigitta are on the senior does page, Ithaca is on the bucks page.
This is a random drawing, but we do enjoy your stories too .
The two does likely to give birth first are:
The OnionCkObers Got2BBrigitta. Planned Pedigree here: http://www.adgagenetics.org/PlannedPedigreePrint.aspx…
Okanogan Oberhaslis Gilly. Planned Pedigree here: http://www.adgagenetics.org/PlannedPedigreePrint.aspx…
Both does are bred to Treasured Sunrise OBRV Ithaca. ADGA page here: http://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx…
Gilly comes from heavy producing lines as well as Ithaca coming from strong dairy lines. Brigitta is also a fantastic milker with sweet creamy milk!
*Brigitta's bucklings are only eligible for Grade registry through IDGR, but her doelings able to be registered Grade through both ADGA and IDGR.
***NOTICE FOR PACKERS: For those looking for a pack goat, if you win the drawing and the kid born is a doeling, you may pick a buckling from our packer doe (Grade Oberhasli). She consistently throws huge long legged boys that make great pack/cart goats. Her 2013 bucklings were 10#s each at birth and her 2014 buckling was 13#s at birth and 80#s at three months!
